HM Business Partners was growing fast and needed a partner to help them scale sustainably — that’s where we, GJ Walsh & Co, come in, sharing the same values and bringing in great systems to keep things running smoothly. For existing clients, nothing changes when it comes to the people you know and trust — Kym, Vanessa, Jacqui, Rebecca, and Olivia are all still here, with no fee or agreement changes. Plus, with our bigger team and improved tools, we’re now able to welcome new clients and support everyone even better.

Vanessa Mendes – Partner

Vanessa grew up in the Lockyer Valley, is a country girl at heart who built her career in the city and she just gets business – it’s in her blood. Being a degree qualified Financial Adviser as well as an Accountant, Vanessa specialises in Self-Managed Super Funds and makes utlising your superannuation to property easy.

Vanessa is able to help you with structuring your business and financial affairs in a manner that not only ensures the protection of your families assets, but also provides the most effective tax outcomes for your family group She is personable and clients appreciate her no fuss approach to providing honest candid advice.

Kym Hocking – Partner

Kym was raised up North on a cane farm and specialises in Tax and Primary Production. Her extensive experience includes Manager at Ernst & Young and several years in the commercial sector in London. Kym is a member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia. She is a fabulous analytical Accountant who is great at thinking outside the box to get her clients the very best tax outcomes.

Kym enjoys working with clients to make tax law and meeting obligations easy! She’s a wiz at cash flows, general business advisory and loves a good property strategy. Kym is dedicated to delivering quality client services while providing ongoing support ensuring the hard stuff is taken care of for our clients.

Jacqui Daley – Tax Manager

Jacqui is beacon of brilliance in her field. With an extensive background in accounting and a profound understanding of tax laws, Jacqui excels in navigating the complexities of taxation, ensuring both compliance and financial optimisation for our clients.

Olivia is a Qualified Accountant with an extensive corporate and big business background. She assists us with the day-to-day management of the practice while also helping take care of the administrative aspects of both our business and clients affairs. Highly experienced with exceptional people skills compliment Olivia’s easy going approach.
