G. J. Walsh & Co was founded by Gregory Walsh after graduating from the Queensland Institute of Technology (1983) in Brisbane.

Greg opened up G.J. Walsh & Co to the public at Mortimer Street, Ipswich, and hired his first official staff member, Angela Leisemann who is still with us today.

The G. J. Walsh & Co brand expanded to a partnership after David Richardson progressed from a University and CPA graduate to partner of the practice with Greg.

Outgrowing the small house turned business, G. J. Walsh & Co moved their office to the top of town at 213 Brisbane Street, Ipswich.

Within the same year G. J. Walsh & Co was on the move again, this time spreading ourselves further and opening two other branches to our clients in the Ipswich and Scenic Rim regions of Springfield Central and Boonah. Boonah, sharing an office with Fassifern Insurance Services (FIS) in the main street of Boonah and Springfield Central opening up a cosy office suite in an up-and-coming shopping centre at Orion Springfield Central.

G. J. Walsh & Co took on David Woolgar & Associates after the retirement of principal David Woolgar.

Moved into bigger space in Boonah.

Took over TSI Accounting.
