History
In December, 1994 Greg Walsh hung up his shingle at 8 Mortimer Street, Ipswich. A beautifully renovated Queenslander on the outskirts of Ipswich CBD. At the time when he had worked for an employer for 18 years since leaving school and he felt it was time to have a change in his career and move into public practise. The practise grew rapidly due to a strong commitment to his client base and it was not long before he appointed another accountant in his office, Angela Leisemann who is still actively involved today.
Greg founded the practise G. J Walsh & Co and has always worked on a referral ‘word of mouth’ basis. We value our origins and continually focus on expanding our unchallenged local knowledge. Using a deep understanding of our clients' local business needs we work closely with our clients to achieve desired results. An outcome that best fits their needs.
In July 2004, David Richardson was admitted as a partner to the practise. David was taken on as a graduate accountant in 1999. During his time with the practise he has specialised in working with businesses and individuals on a path of growth, helping them to maximise their potential and achieve their financial goals.
On the 4th July 2005 we moved into a purpose built new premises located at 213 Brisbane Street, IPSWICH providing the practise with approximately five (5) times the former offices floor space to cater for our expanding team. Our holistic approach extends to financial planning services. Our practise is aligned with Planwealth, a progressive and innovative financial planning team who provide experienced planners to meet the needs of our client base. Their commitment has always been to offer the best solutions for our clients long term financial objectives and goals. To achieve that we have focused on solutions using quality comprehensive planning and thinking, including structures and strategies that we firmly believe set the right course for our clients and add true value into the future.
Our purpose is to create total client satisfaction through our talented people, specialised expertise, and a personal approach that delivers results. It is our aim to establish strong relationships with our clients, becoming an integral part of their business structure, adding value every step of the way through our proactive approach and driving their success.
